What up! Ok, so instead of just some generic questions and answers or some contribed bio, I just wanted to write whatever came to my mind.
First of all, I am blessed with the best job in the world and am VERY thankful that I get to do what I do. I may sound a little crazy on the air, but I am actually pretty normal and even a little shy off the air. I started in radio when I was 19 in Detroit at a station called 93.1 DRQ, I started off doing grunt work as an intern and grinded my way up! I moved to Dallas in 2000 and have been on the air here ever since.
I love music more than anything, I do not know what I would do without it. But I never really thought I was going to be in radio or music, I originally went to college in Detroit to study law. My passion was truly music and entertainment though, so I finally just went for my dream. Well, it came true! With enough hard work and dedication, I really believe you can accomplish anything.
I still come to work everyday excited to go on the radio! It even amazes me that people even care to know anything about me!? I am flattered you even visited my page... well I do not know what else to say so...
Here are some "FAQ's" people always ask me...
Q-How did you get your name Billy The Kidd?
A- Well, it's really not that cool of a story. I was called "Billy The Intern" on the air in Detroit, so when I came here my boss was like we are changing your name. I said uh... ok... to what!? He said well what about Billy The Kidd, I was just happy he HIRED me here, so I would have said yes to anything!! lol. I like the name now though!
Q- Do you know Kidd Kraddick?
A- lol... yes! AND yes, he IS a nice guy!!
Q- How old are you!?
A- I turned 28 on Sept. 1st! AND , yes that's my real age. A lot of people in the business tend to say they are younger, but I wont start doing that until I am like 40! ha! jk.
Q- Who is the coolest celeb you have ever met!?
A- Well, I get to meet a lot, so that is one cool part of my job. BUT, I have to say Paris Hilton was the coolest. I went to a party at her house in L.A. and have to say she is nothing like I thought she would be. She was laid back and a lot smarter than you think! :)
