This guy didn't shoot himself in the foot figuratively...he shot himself in the GROIN!

Police found Tavares Colbert at a hospital around 9 am today.

He supposedly told the officers that he had found this gun, and had plans to SELL it. WHAT?! This guy was crazy.

Want to know the best part? Since he's a convicted fellon, he isn't ALLOWED to carry a gun!

He pulled off the side of the road to make sure it worked, and found it did...by shooting himself...in the crotch.

He was then charged with illegal firearm possetion. Smart guy right?
