Good morning.

You know, it's in times like these when we see just how great we can be as a people. As humans.

Humanity.

People are without power and I get that it's frustrating. But some people have lost homes. Some communities have lost even more.... and people are demoralized wondering how tomorrow can be better than today... and how they can get back what was lost to the storm.

But through the storm, we saw countless examples of people doing their jobs to make sure we stay safe. First responders. Police. Firemen. Paramedics. Nurses. Doctors. People from federal agencies, like FEMA, and our National Guard... and Coast Guard... who deployed into harms way to lessen the blow... and to make sure that tomorrow, when the waters recede and the debris gets cleared, we can rebuild.

If nurses and doctors can carry sick patients down flight after flight of stairs out of a powerless hospital in Manhattan... we can find the inner strength to press on.

At least, that's what I believe.

To those people - thank you. Thank you for doing your job to keep us safe... so that tomorrow can be better than today. We see it. We recognize it. And we thank you for it.

In the actions of the heroic, I think we can find an inner strength for tomorrow. Through their actions, we can find more than enough inspiration to rebuild... to restore... and to move forward.

The most amazing thing about life is that there is always a tomorrow... and that tomorrow can be better than today. As overwhelming as it may seem... it is, none the less, true.

Here's to tomorrow.

Thanks for reading.
